Pleasant, friendly place for a pint... the food is very good too
Given that you order at the bar, I was just expecting standard chain-pub food but I was floored by how good it was. Only popped in to grab a quick lunch but it was delicious. I will be coming back here again.
Tasty food, generous portions, prepared and presented with care. A warm and friendly atmosphere, dog friendly in the bar area, restaurant area more upscale for a special night out. Great beer. Recently refurbished rest rooms. All very good.A lovely meal again for our anniversary. Catered for my gluten free needs admirably. Highly recommended.
Christmas Meal out with friends. Absolutely stunning meal from start to finish. Huge portions, hot and well presented. The place was packed which was not surprising considering the warm welcome and service we received. We will return!
The king's head should be up for the best pub in the UK!! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing, the steak cooked to perfection and fantastic vegetarian options (my partners and veggie). The king's head is well worth going too!!
