I recently visited The Ram, Hadleigh for Brunch to celebrate my birthday with friends and I have to say I was disappointed with both the service and the food, well lack of it!!!First of all, the staff albeit very friendly were also extremely slow! Slow with offering us a drink, slow with taking our orders and slow bringing out the food! We were never asked if we wanted any more drinks and we eventually got so bored of waiting to be offered more and desserts we went up to the bar and asked for the bill.Secondly, I have to comment on the lack of food. I had been warned by many people who have visited this restaurant for brunch that you dont get much food on the plate but I took this with a pinch of salt as Im not a big eater. I chose to have the sweet potato and chorizo hash which I must say tasted amazing... there just was not enough of it!!! I was presented the dish on the largest plate with the smallest portion! I left feeling extremely hungry! I have booked my works Christmas party with them this year and I just have to hope for better service and that they dont leave wanting to get a kebab in the way home!
Recently refurbished excellent decor. The food is very good, well presented and the service is first class. Price is high end but for the overall experience it is well worth paying.
We have eaten here a few times and have enjoyed our meals and have found the staff to be very pleasant. However just been for a meal and ordered two skate wings to share at 40 each both intended for only one person as I really like this fish. Mine was fine good and big but my guest's was hardly big enough for a single portion disappointing when I paid 80 for these two portions.As we were a party of six and enjoying ourselves it didn't seem worthwhile to kick-off and put a dampener on an excellent evening.
